Sales Development Representative Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Making in excess of 60 outbound calls to cold and warm leads to sell Tyro’s EFTPOS solution;
- Work with on-boarding specialists, customer support, and risk assessment to ensure customers have an excellent on-boarding experience;
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and scorecard metrics, demonstrating consistent and sustained performance;
- Prospecting leads from geographical locations, to then set appointments for the BDE team to visit in person and close;
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest to maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory;
- Report to the Team Leader – Client Management on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results;
- Meet your defined target of qualified opportunities per quarter;
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, live chat and emails;
- Develop your own demand generation through the creation of campaigns, sales leads and initiation of prospect calls;
- Understand how the Panopto platform is used by our customers to effectively qualify prospects based on their needs and requirements;
- Present our company to potential clients;
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans;
- Assist sales people with other activities to help them bring new customers on board;
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients;
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
Requirements:
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM, Outreach, or ZoomInfo;
- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment;
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
- Ability to make a high volume of outbound calls and get along with VP level executives;
- Experience with technology and/or B2B sales;
- Prior Salesforce.com experience;
- Malay speaking and familiarity with Malaysian market highly considered but not essential;
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred);
- Considered but not essential – Prior working experience in Business Development, Sales and/or Customer Service;
- Dream to progress to sales position;
- Ability to perform in a time-sensitive and high volume environment;
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning and call control;
- Proven inside sales or sales development experience converting prospects;
- Confident attitude: Proven performance in a high-growth technology company;
- University degree, College Diploma or equivalent experience.
