Installation Lead – Wind Turbines, APAC Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Installation Lead – Wind Turbines, APAC to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all installation deliverables are met within contractual requirements and set deadlines;
- Schedule and coordinate work and Installation activities with client and other functions;
- Drive Safety and Quality at the site execution level;
- Ensure company vehicles, property, tooling, equipment and Installation documentation is kept in good order;
- Be the “go-to” person for issues and technical problems; communicate, address and escalate these as required;
- Identify and maintain stock of critical assets, tools and spare parts;
- Support other internal functions such as Site Management, etc;
- Motivate, supervise and lead assigned teams, provide professional feedback, evaluations and recommendations;
- Maintain and promote EHS, safety and quality culture Report, communicate and escalate installation site status, progress and issues;
- Drive lessons learnt and Cost of Quality within the Installation organisation;
- Ensure compliance of site activities with safety and quality standards as set by GE company and client;
- Conduct, lead and oversee all installation and documentation activities at assigned projects based at site.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in Wind Turbine installation processes;
- Ability and willingness to work on weekends, public-vacation, shift-work or on-call duty as required;
- Procedural development experience;
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams;
- Willing to train others as applicable;
- Due to international business contacts, attendance at out of hours teleconferences may be required;
- Competent in Health and Safety standards (EHS);
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Bachelors’ degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, institution OR equivalent knowledge and experience;
- Effective problem identification and solution skills;
- Current Australian driver’s license;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Ability and willingness to climb Wind Turbines;
- At least 5 years’ experience with installation and mechanical completion of Wind Turbines;
- Strong understanding of Wind Turbine construction and repair.
