Our company is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Awards and EBA interpretation;
  • Prepare and process weekly temporary candidate payroll;
  • Reporting;
  • Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll runs for 5000+ employees;
  • Liaise with the finance team regarding reconciliations, journal entries and payments;
  • Timesheet processing using Chris21;
  • Manage the payroll process for a weekly payroll of 800+ employees;
  • Maintenance of employee files;
  • Super, PAYG processing;
  • Processing high quantity of employees;
  • End to end payroll for 500+ employees;
  • Assisting the Payroll and Billing Manager with other payroll and billing duties;
  • Manipulating timesheet data from time and attendance system;
  • Interpret relevant industry awards;
  • Administrative duties for new starters Process and accurately prepare time sheets.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with AUS payroll legislation requirements;
  • Able to deal with pressure and tight time frames whilst resolving complex payroll issues;
  • A keen eye for process and system improvement;
  • Understanding of termination and redundancy processing;
  • Local Council experience highly regarded;
  • Strong and recent experience in an end to end payroll function;
  • Savvy with Excel and Outlook;
  • The client is able to offer two career pathway options within the business;
  • You are immediately available and can commit to fulltime hours Moday-Friday;
  • Solid knowledge of Australian payroll and related legislation;
