Our company is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Awards and EBA interpretation;
- Prepare and process weekly temporary candidate payroll;
- Reporting;
- Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll runs for 5000+ employees;
- Liaise with the finance team regarding reconciliations, journal entries and payments;
- Timesheet processing using Chris21;
- Manage the payroll process for a weekly payroll of 800+ employees;
- Maintenance of employee files;
- Super, PAYG processing;
- Processing high quantity of employees;
- End to end payroll for 500+ employees;
- Assisting the Payroll and Billing Manager with other payroll and billing duties;
- Manipulating timesheet data from time and attendance system;
- Interpret relevant industry awards;
- Administrative duties for new starters Process and accurately prepare time sheets.
Requirements:
- Familiar with AUS payroll legislation requirements;
- Able to deal with pressure and tight time frames whilst resolving complex payroll issues;
- A keen eye for process and system improvement;
- Understanding of termination and redundancy processing;
- Local Council experience highly regarded;
- Strong and recent experience in an end to end payroll function;
- Savvy with Excel and Outlook;
- The client is able to offer two career pathway options within the business;

- Solid knowledge of Australian payroll and related legislation;
