Responsibilities:
- Liaising and coordinating with clients and architects with regard to project related matters;
- Conceptual and detailed design of a wide range of structures including education, aged care, retail, health and commercial;
- Mentoring junior members of the structural team;
- Identifying new work opportunities and prepare proposals;
- Support junior engineers and designers;
- Undertaking structural design tasks from concept through to construction;
- Checking designs completed by others;

- Relevant tertiary qualifications;
- Experience in the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes;
- Experience in Offshore site environment and site surveying/scoping;
- Knowledge of and experience in AS1170, 4100, 3600;
- Experience in the use of SACS, StaadPro software packages;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet key deadlines;
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering with the following experience preferred;
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client;
- Extensive experience as a Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the Australian O&G sector;
- Ability to use Space Gass;
- 8+ years experience of structural design in the minerals processing industry;
- Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering;
- 3 – 7 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer.
