Senior Legal Counsel (Product) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (Product) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help the business to develop new strategies in relation to managing regulatory change;
- Assist other areas of FS Legal by contributing to product services where product implications are involved;
- Provision of commercially relevant legal advice to business areas and boards including assessing legal risks and providing options;
- Identifying and understanding the business strategies, priorities and goals and providing legal advice with these matters in mind;
- Participate effectively in key business projects including identification and management of legal risks within those projects;
- Communicating regulatory changes to clients promptly and with good application.
Requirements:
- Commercial and business acumen;
- Broad knowledge of the financial industry and the legal and regulatory regime;
- Ideally at least 7 years’ post admission experience;
- Obligations of APRA regulated entities and Australian financial services License holders;
- Experience in reviewing commercial and regulatory documents commonly used in the financial services industry.
