Legal Counsel – Compliance Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Legal Counsel – Compliance to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Spot checks of marketing and advertising materials to ensure in line with AFSA and ASIC guidelines;
- Instruct and manage external legal advisers where required;
- Spot audits of all customer call recordings to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines;
- Limiting company exposure in all agreements and ensure adherence to company policies;
- Ensuring the business is working in accordance with the law.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Financial Services Legislation, Bankruptcy Legislation, Corporate Liquidations, Privacy Act, AFSA and ASIC Regulations;
- Practice as a Lawyer, Accountant or experience in AFSA + ASIC departments, 5 + years’ experience;
- Strong analytical skills with ability to problem solving and obtain high attention to detail;
- Ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships;
- Required degree in Law, Accounting, Finance or Economics;
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
