Our company is looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team.

Working collaboratively with commercial and project teams to analyse and advise on contract risks;
Support to General Counsel and General Manager of Commercial;
Liaise with regulatory bodies and government authorities as required;
Advise and manage a variety of M&A and similar transactions;
Assist with special requests from the executive team;
Mapping compliance obligations against regulatory requirements;
Manage corporate legal requirements of entities in Australia;
Managing and providing instructions to external lawyers;
Engaging with external stakeholders and gaining their support and building rapport with said stakeholders locally and overseas;
Advising on procurement and project delivery;
Supporting a culture of obligations compliance and supporting risk management and education across the business; and;
Reviewing and drafting, agreements, contracts and other legal documents;
Supporting the AFAC business units and activities with generalist legal support;
Providing legal contracting advice to NAFC with the procurement of aerial services;
Participate in the training of colleagues and stakeholder groups.

4 years of post-qualification experience;
Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters from the complex matters to the routine standard matters;
Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills;
Experience in media, technology and/or intellectual property;
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure;
Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor or comparable law degree;
Admitted to practice law in Australia;
Understanding and familiarity with the provision of legal services in the not for profit sector;
3+ years post qualification experience;
Strong background and experience providing general commercial legal advice;
Current practicing certificate as an Australian legal practitioner.
