Cloud Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Application server migrations to the Azure Cloud;
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the solutions developed meet these requirements;
- Work as part of a project team to design new system solutions which includes, implementing proof-of-concepts and presenting with a marketing mindset;
- Deploy and design cloud computing services such as IaaS, SaaS and PaaS;
- Contribute to the design, development, and execution of system changes through the end-to-end testing lifecycle;
- On prem to Azure migrations;
- Liaising with sales team;
- Working across multiple projects;
- Daily management of cloud-based infrastructure;
- Solution designs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure projects, especially migrations to Azure Cloud;
- Knowledge of features including Identity Management, Management Groups, Security/Identity Protection, Password Management and App Proxy preferred;
- Experience in cloud migration and integration;
- Experienced in Virtual server environments, primarily VMware and Xen;
- Experience with Veeam;
- Ability to work autonomously and in team setting;
- Able to start ASAP;
- Based in Perth;
- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- Linux OS/Administration – RedHat, Debian, Unix;
- ITIL knowledge (Certification would be preferred);
- Previous Hands on experience in Azure, Hybrid and Private Cloud solutions;
- Windows server administration and Configuration;
- Experience working in an Enterprise environment is essential;
- Load Balancing, Monitoring, DNS, Content Delivery Networks & Virtual Private Networks.
