Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Security Engineering to ensure security and compliance across enterprise environments;
- leading the implementation of automation on new and existing applications;
- Provide high level options, concepts, technical recommendations and estimates to support the transition from platform design to operation;
- Multiple Positions Available at a large Fed Gov Department;
- Initial six month contract in Brisbane CBD;
- contributing to the operational design and implementation of software systems;
- Build and maintain the environments and processes that create efficiencies for developers;
- Development and maintenance of support strategies, operational standards and performance strategies;
- Short Term Contract with potential extension;
- Initial 4 month contract | immediate start;
- High Profile State Government Department;
- mentoring less experienced members of the team as well as inspiring a culture of high performance;
- Deliver platform maintenance tasks, assisting in software changes and delivering technical risk consulting;
- 3 – 6 Month Contract / Non-Ongoing positions;
- Design and develop systems and processes that support highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant software deployments.
Requirements:
- Hands on experience with infra provisioning automation tooling (eg. Bash, Git, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Ansible);
- Strong experience working with large/complex cloud platform (eg. AWS /Azure/GCP);
- Proven ability working with teams in developing CI/CD capability;
- Initial six month contract in Brisbane CBD;
- Multiple Positions Available at a large Fed Gov Department;
- Experience with AWS;
- Solid in Python, UNIX / Linux Operating systems and Bash scripting;
- Good knowledge of AWS and its capabilities including Cloud Formation, AWS Batch, EC2, S3, Lambda, ELB;
- Configuration management tools including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef;
- Short Term Contract with potential extension;
- Intranet architecture and content refresh;
- Initial 4 month contract | immediate start;
- High Profile State Government Department;
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain CI/CD environments;
