Physical Infrastructure, Security and Access Consultant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Physical Infrastructure, Security and Access Consultant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- design and implementation for PACS, CCTV, network cabling, communications rooms for new sites and for refurbishments of existing sites;
- providing project support and oversight of implementation work relating to any/all data centre & office installations;
- coordinating with globally disperse teams to deliver data centre and physical security technologies across the enterprise;
- supporting and enhancing operational standards and BAU requirements;
- strategy development, review and revision of relevant technology stacks both new and existing;
- review of architectural & engineering drawings including provision of detailed commentary to Design Consultants, Engineers and Architects.
Requirements:
- “can do” attitude with an ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as required from time to time;
- ability for clear interpretation and accurate reading of architectural & engineering drawings;
- appreciation of critical building infrastructure such as redundant power paths, EPG & UPS systems, HVAC, fire suppression, access controls;
- ideally qualified to RCDD, CDCDP or comparable industry experience;
- hands on technical knowledge of common industry technology platforms, e.g. IP networks, SAN, infrastructure hosting and virtualisation;
- experience collaborating with architects, consultants and engineers both Macquarie and external 3 rd parties;
