Our company is looking for a Front-end Web Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate data from various back-end services when necessary;
- Review designs to ensure the best approach to development;
- Pay close attention to the quality of work and minor details;
- Liaise with clients for the purposes of requirements gathering, support and validation;
- Work both collaboratively as a member of our digital design team, and independently with limited supervision;
- Work within established workflows and systems for project management, version control and client support;
- Liaise with developers, designers and account managers;
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS;
- Code front end designs to specification from visual designs and annotated wireframes, incorporating accessibility and usability standards by default;
- Ability to solve problems with creative solutions;
- Ability to communicate with non-technical co-workers;
- Understanding of how e-commerce websites should work;
- Care deeply about best practices, standards and performance.
Requirements:
- 2+ years professional web dev experience;
- Concise communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Experience with the Liquid template language;
- Use of modern CSS techniques including pre-processors, critical CSS, and implementing polyfills when necessary;
- Have thorough understanding of Shopify;
- Documented experience writing clean, readable, well-documented and modular JS, previous experience with JS frameworks a plus;
- Experience with responsive and cross-browser development and testing.
