Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager Organisational Development, the Manager – Training and Development plays a key role in driving workforce capability across Pacific Energy. This role leads the design and delivery of high-impact training programs, ensuring learning initiatives enhance performance, support business goals and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the early career programs, ensuring it meets organisational needs and reflects best practice.
  • Drive the governance and delivery of training needs analysis, identifying capability gaps, analysing development data, and engaging stakeholders to define outcomes.
  • Design and develop technical training programs, partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to develop relevant, high-quality learning solutions.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions and workshops that build behavioural, technical, compliance and safety capabilities.
  • Develop, manage and govern LMS modules within the HRIS to support effective learning delivery.
  • Execute training projects end-to-end, ensuring timely outcomes, budget adherence and effective coordination with external partners.
  • Guide and mentor the training team.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related discipline
  • Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align learning initiatives with business goals
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills, supported by a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
