Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision for a 2–4 person engineering team and the long-term strategy for Social & Store integration.
- Architect and help implement foundational game social and store systems.
- Lead technical vision, architecture, execution, and cross-disciplinary discussions across the project.
- Collaborate with Product, UX Design, central teams, Riot partners, and vendors.
- Establish technical direction and best practices for architecture and implementation.
- Mentor engineers and provide feedback supporting their technical growth.
- Ensure global social and store systems comply with Riot safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including delivery of live or shipped products at scale.
- 3+ years of experience with related game systems such as social systems, e-commerce, or platform services.
- Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine.
- B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience with in-game purchasing flows, entitlement systems, third-party platform integrations, client and backend tools, social system architecture, player engagement patterns, mentoring technical leaders, distributed teams, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
