At Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (Laynha), you'll help support the delivery of essential services to remote communities across East Arnhem Land.

As an Administration Officer , you'll provide accurate and reliable administrative support, help coordinate daily operations, assist staff and service providers, and ensure key systems and processes run efficiently within the Homeland Services Team.

About You

You're someone who enjoys creating order, managing competing priorities, and providing exceptional support to both colleagues and external stakeholders. You are highly organised, attentive to detail, and able to communicate professionally with people from diverse backgrounds. You take ownership of your work, maintain confidentiality, and consistently deliver tasks accurately and on time.

You'll likely bring:

  • Experience in an administration, reception, office support, or customer service role
  • Strong word processing, data entry, and document preparation skills
  • Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, or financial administration tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and time management and strong customer service skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

You'll also demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to better support the needs of Yolŋu communities.

A Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent experience) will be highly regarded but is not essential. In its absence, equivalent experience is essential.

A current driver's licence, Ochre Card, and National Police Check are required or must be obtained.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in supporting the Homeland Services Team by:

  • Providing high-quality administrative support to the Operations Team
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders and invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining records, databases, spreadsheets, and organisational systems
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, correspondence, and enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for management and operational staff
  • Maintaining office calendars and schedules
  • Assisting with financial data entry and reporting tasks as required
  • Managing office equipment, supplies, and consumables
  • Supporting operational projects and administrative initiatives across the Homeland Services Team
