Senior Lawyer - Major Projects / Energy & Infrastructure (Contract through to 30 June 2027)

Melbourne preferred / Sydney considered

We are currently working on a contract opportunity for an experienced lawyer to support the delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects.

Joining a high-performing legal team, you'll provide commercially focused advice across a portfolio of large-scale projects spanning transmission, renewable energy, battery storage and broader infrastructure development.

The Role

• Drafting and negotiating project, commercial and infrastructure agreements
• Advising on land access, easements, compulsory acquisition and related property matters
• Supporting connection agreement negotiations and project delivery activities
• Working closely with project teams and external advisors to progress key project milestones
• Providing pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced project environment

About You

• Admitted lawyer with experience gained either in private practice or in-house
• Background in major projects, energy, infrastructure, construction, property or commercial law
• Experience supporting the development, delivery or operation of large-scale infrastructure projects
• Comfortable managing matters autonomously and working directly with stakeholders
• Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice

Experience with renewables, transmission, BESS, connection agreements, compulsory acquisition, land access or major project delivery will be highly regarded, but the team is open to lawyers who can demonstrate transferable experience from adjacent sectors.
