The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and motivated Duty Manager to join the experienced team at the Royal Oak. Located in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region, the Royal Oak has stood as a local icon since 1846.

The ROAK, as known by locals, offers a seasonal menu complementing an extensive wine list and offers accommodation to those exploring the region.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with and support of the Venue Manager, assisting with operations across the venue;
Represent the hotel in a positive and professional manner;
Train and motivate staff whilst driving the importance of providing exceptional customer service;
Work across all departments including bar, bistro and gaming, fostering harmonious relationships with all employees and patrons; and
Write daily reports to be communicated to the team.

About You

Previously held positions of responsibility and leadership in similar environments;
Holds valid RSA, RSG, and RP badge;
Possess well rounded food, wine and beverage knowledge;
Takes pride in personal presentation with exceptional customer service and communication skills;
Experience with H&L and GFR PRO highly regarded;
Engaging, and charismatic individual with charm and energy, proactive in self-development; and
Availability to work over a 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends.
