Our client is an Australian ASX-listed company operating in the telecommunications sector, renowned for providing innovative networking solutions and exceptional service to their clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Network Architect to join their core network team in Melbourne, Australia.

Position Overview:

As a Network Architect, you will be a pivotal member of their core network team, responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing robust networking solutions for their clients. Based in Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in driving network design initiatives, engaging in presales activities, and overseeing the successful implementation of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in Juniper routing and switching, Fortinet firewalls, and Ciena technologies to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and develop customized network architectures that align with their objectives.
Lead presales efforts by conducting technical assessments, creating proposals, and presenting solutions to prospective clients.
Design and architect scalable and resilient network infrastructures based on Juniper routing and switching technologies, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls to implement robust security measures and protect clients' networks from threats.
Utilize Ciena networking solutions to design and implement high-capacity optical transport networks, including DWDM and packet-optical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the implementation team throughout project delivery, ensuring successful execution and adherence to project timelines.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and operations teams, to ensure seamless project handoffs and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or architecture roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex networking solutions.
Expertise in Juniper routing and switching technologies, including experience with Juniper MX, EX, and QFX series routers and switches.
Strong proficiency in Fortinet firewall technologies, with hands-on experience in configuration, rule management, and security best practices.
In-depth knowledge of Ciena networking solutions, particularly in optical transport and packet-optical networking.
Proven track record of successfully leading presales engagements and delivering network design projects from inception to completion.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
Industry certifications such as JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, and Ciena Specialist certifications are highly desirable.
Eligibility to work in Australia and willingness to work onsite in Melbourne as required.
