Automotive Refinishing Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades or select pre-mixed paint;
- Removing masking papers, waxes and polish finishing paintwork;
- Covering areas not to be painted with masking tape and paper;
- Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals;
- Sanding surfaces by hand or with power sanders;
- Applying primer and finishing coats using spray guns and rub down surfaces between coats;
- Painting signs or artwork on vehicles;
- Remove rough spots on vehicle panels;
- Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of MTA’s pre-selection test which can be conducted at our Training and Employment Centre or Online;
- Good communication skills;
- Completion of year 10 or higher;
- Passion for the Motor Industry;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Provisional Drivers Licence;
- Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures;
- Friendly and have a great personality;
- Willingness to learn.
