Our company is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Navigating ERP system;
  • Invoicing and allocation of payments to the general ledger;
  • Check & control supplier, customer, balance sheet & income accounts correctly;
  • Preparation of supplier & employee payments;
  • Manage accrual accuracy;
  • Other financial duties as dictated;
  • Monthly reconciliation and reporting of revenue;
  • Assisting with payroll processing;
  • Year-end reconciliation and GJ entries with supportive documentation to accountant;
  • Monthly stock take and stock movement reports;
  • Bank reconciliations and account allocations from bank feeds;
  • Monthly preparation and lodgement of IAS;
  • Reviewing assigned accounts and analyse any variances in P&L;
  • Preparation and processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable;
  • Superannuation & Workcover lodgement.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Financial Services or Diploma of Accounting or higher;
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role;
  • Proven ability to support a small team of Director and Manager with budgets, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting;
  • Strong all-round experience with Xero;
  • Experience working within the IT Industry is highly desirable;
  • Experience and understanding of Single Touch Payroll and general payroll in Xero;
  • Strong experience with the preparation of BAS / IAS & PAYG reporting obligations;
  • Knowledge of ATO compliance obligations;
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach;
  • Prior experience as a Bookkeeper for small to medium businesses;
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB, POS Systems and other add ons and payroll;
  • Be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office;
  • Demonstrable people skills with excellent business acumen;
  • Relevant formal qualification is preferable but not essential.
