Practice Lead, eCommerce Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Practice Lead, eCommerce to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for expansion while partnering with account management;
  • Participate in webinars, summits, media interviews, etc. representing Nortal and practice area;
  • Understand the competitor landscape in the practice area;
  • Provide guidance to Nortal technical teams in the practice area for professional development (i.e. training);
  • Architect and demonstrate to potential new clients;
  • Develop practice area collateral, offerings, and supporting materials;
  • Drive development of assets (e. g. tools, accelerators, etc.) and intellectual property (e. g. playbooks);
  • Partner with account management and client teams on account strategy and offering planning;
  • Create content in line with market trends and Nortal trajectory;
  • Maintain, develop, and expand client relationships;
  • Communicate collateral and offering messaging effectively Nortal account management and leadership for qualification discussions;
  • Represent Nortal at industry conferences and meet ups;
  • Drive thought leadership in practice area (blogs, points of view, formal campaigns, etc.);
  • Articulate job requirements for resources needed, supporting Talent Acquisition;
  • Identify and educate Nortal on market trends within the eCommerce industry (Industry conferences, whitepapers, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Experience creating thought leadership and white papers and presenting in this area of expertise is preferred;
  • 10+ years of experience in the eCommerce field with prior pre-sales experience;
  • Deep domain experience with multi-platform expertise (i.e. Demandware, Hybris, Elastic Path, ATG, Broadleaf, Websphere, Magento, Intershop, etc);
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizations;
  • Proven ability to launch new projects (team selection, work breakdown structure, etc.);
  • Able to travel at 50%
  • BA Computer Science or related field;
  • Possesses aptitude to manage the customer experience in concert with other Nortal leads;
  • Strong project management skills.
