Determine and formulate policies and provide overall direction of companies or private and public sector organizations within guidelines set up by a board of directors or similar governing body. Our company is looking for a Executive Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilising existing networks to develop new client business;
  • Management reporting and record keeping;
  • Attending relevant industry forums;
  • Lead the organisation’s communication response during disasters, extreme weather events, and other special events;
  • Negotiate and account for budgets and resources consistent with strategic business plans and goals;
  • Commitment to building and sustaining cultural capability, to support the vision and values of the Department and to achieve agency objectives;
  • Lead the development of a capable, innovative and accountable workforce to achieve outcomes;
  • Maintain a strategic and critical balance in providing a safe and secure detention environment, including community safety and confidence;
  • Ensure TheMHS continues to stimulate debates that challenge the boundaries of present knowledge and ideas about mental health services and systems;
  • Responsible for the delivery of programs for client agencies that provide services in local communities;
  • Implement innovations in products or business that increase the relevance and reach of TheMHS with a particular focus on utilizing technology;
  • Represent the Government and the department at high level inter and intra-Governmental forums and other departmental working parties as appropriate ;
  • Driving continual improvement to the team’s operating environment and working practices;
  • Identify and manage emerging communication, stakeholder and media issues in a proactive and timely manner;
  • Play an active role in building communication, engagement and marketing capability across the department.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory Police and Working with Children’s Check;
  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife;
  • Current Victorian Drivers licence;
  • Fulfils the requirements of a senior academic position at Associate Professor or above level;
  • Post graduate qualifications in Nursing, Health Services Management, Management or Business.
