Our company is looking for a Sr. Director, Medical Affairs Training and Development to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective budget management and resource allocation;
  • Identify, lead in design of, and deliver impactful medical training that improves the competency level of the organization;
  • Develop and maintain a highly relevant, goal oriented strategic training program;
  • Deliver effective training results during Medical offsite meetings;
  • Establish processes that enable timely and actionable performance feedback of trainees;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Build trust and credibility with business partners through regular interaction that is evidenced by feedback and proven working partnerships;
  • Develop a training curriculum for all customer facing and internal roles, measure effectiveness and continuously improve;
  • Has product expertise for all marketed products;
  • Lead and participate in highly visible, cross-functional initiatives;
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency and efficacy of training services offered;
  • Enable effective delivery of training at HQ and at local level(s);
  • Manage at least one other person to round out the Field Medical Training team;
  • Collaborate with executive and senior stakeholders to ensure full alignment;
  • Adhere to adult learning principles and sound training design.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills;
  • Experience transitioning from clinical development stage to commercial, with emphasis on launch preparation and readiness;
  • Experience leading “developmental” initiatives, i.e. training, coaching, learning initiatives;
  • Track record of project management skills and expertise across medium to large scale projects;
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to problem solve and manage multiple urgent priorities in parallel;
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, matrix environment with the need to manage constant change and communicate complex concepts;
  • Good knowledge of US and Compliance guidelines and laws;
  • Broad knowledge of Pharma/Biotech business model and how it interacts with healthcare;
  • Significant Rare disease experience.
