Instrumentation & Control Systems Senior Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Instrumentation & Control Systems Senior Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Specify, review and procure instrumentation, control and communications equipment;
- Produce design deliverables to schedule and budget;
- Deign / integration of DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI and control systems, for both brownfield and greenfield projects;
- Project management, reporting and client interfacing;
- Working on concept design through to detail design.
Requirements:
- Availability to travel (within Australia);
- Experience in hazardous areas and intrinsically safe instrumentation and calculations;
- Extensive experience in carrying out instrument sizing / calculations and producing technical specifications / datasheets;
- Experience in developing requisitions, purchase orders and Vendor management;
- Experience in site inspections, site installation and site commissioning \ testing;
- Experienced in multiple control systems such as AB, Siemens, Schneider, Omron etc;
- Registered RPEQ;
- Experience in Water industry;
- Extensive experience in integration of DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI and control systems, for both brownfield and greenfield projects;
- Rights to work in Australia;
- Extensive experience in producing Instrumentation & control system schematics, PLC drawings, loop diagrams, hook ups, etc;
- Experience in specifying and designing fibre optic communication networks, including loss calculations etc;
- Hazardous Area Design competency to AS4761;
- Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 10 years working experience.
