Our company is looking for a Temporary Clinical Payment Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage multiple payment priorities in a timely manner to meet external and internal customers’ needs;
  • Ability to understand budget terms and represent and/or defend Ultragenyx’s payment position when issues or questions arise;
  • Setup and update new supplier information in Oracle and communicate PO information to vendors;
  • To review data from CTMS for accuracy of payment reports;
  • Manage and track site and vendor payments and support accrual activity with study sites and vendors and in conjunction with Finance;
  • Serve as single point of contact to manage site/vendors invoice/payment issues through resolution;
  • Maintain CTMS payment schedule to ensure timely payments;
  • Understand and applies general clinical trial budget principles, theories and concepts;
  • Review site and vendor invoices against contract budgets;
  • Maintain regular communications with external and internal customers including providing status updates on payments;
  • To review and validate invoices for site and vendors;
  • Participate in payment-related special projects or help to develop process improvements, as needed;
  • Effectively manage workload and ensure payments are made in accordance with study milestones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent is required;
  • Experience processing payments preferred;
  • Identifies complex problems, refers to policies/ guidelines and works with stakeholders to develop solutions;
  • Handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines and identify issues and take appropriate actions;
  • Clinical research experience preferred;
  • Experience using: Excel, Outlook, Word-, CTMS, EDC and web-based systems;
  • General understanding of clinical trials and general knowledge of how they apply to clinical development;
  • Can work without established guidelines;
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management and peers.
