Procurement Officer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases and pricing and other important related data;
- Preparing purchase orders, liaising with finance to verify payments;
- Manage evaluations;
- Providing support with purchasing process and activities locally;
- building and maintaining positive work relationships with all internal and external partners, suppliers and related personnel;
- Ensure value for money outcomes;
- Ensure accuracy of orders, invoices, requisitions and inventories;

- Audits conducted as required, correctly and accurately;
- Participate in risk assessment;
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes;

- maintaining an accurate and updated purchasing and suppliers’ registers;
- Supporting sourcing activities across several key indirect categories.
Requirements:
- Strong ERP system exposure;
- Sourcing, tendering and contract administration exposure;
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Flexible communication and problem-solving skills;
- Hands on, can do attitude;
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment;
- Experience executing end-to-end procurement activities concerning with indirect commodities;
- Strong commercial and general analytics skills;
- Previous experience within a FMCG environment;
- Ability to effectively manage a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships.
