Our company is looking for a Merchandising Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely workflow of deliverables and timelines;
- Responsible for creating shot lists for any Merch-owned photo shoots;
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills through cooperating with cross-functional teams;
- Sample Coordination;
- Responsible for maintaining accurate files each season (Talking Points, TM1, Marketing Names);
- Develop the ability to recap business and articulate learnings to cross-functional partners;
- Build relationships with Marketing, Design, Creative, Planning, Field Development, Product Development, Production, Customer Service Center & PR;
- Assist in film and photo shoots, helping to land and pull looks and attend shoots as necessary.
Requirements:
- Possess strong listening, verbal and written communication skills, including follow-up communication to supervisor and/or cross-functional partners;
- Develop a point of view about product assortment and business opportunities;
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience;
- Possess a strong sense of urgency, along with the ability to prioritize projects when necessary;
- Demonstrate the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast paced, evolving environment;
- Maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals;
- Possess a working knowledge of financial measurements;
- Analyze a problem and formulate a logical rationale for the decision;
- Ability to transport, maneuver and visually evaluate merchandise;
- Possess computer literacy and facility with Microsoft Office and Excel.
