Our company is looking for a Mid-weight Graphic Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Selects and recommends creative partners to work with – e. animators, illustrators, researches and references digital trends;
  • Defines design criteria; develops concept and direction; proposes and creates art signed off by the Editor in Chief and Chief Executive Officer;
  • Creates and develops media using digital art and photographic techniques;
  • Understand how user behaviour is affected by design – i.e. consider UX / UI in your design and let results inform your thinking;
  • Presentations and documents – design of PowerPoint presentations and Word documents;
  • Work with internal SME’s within the business;
  • UX/UI – Have existing skills OR the ability to upskill and learn – UX design and research, UI design (Sketch, Invision, UXPin etc);
  • Events – production of communications, signage, collateral and promo items for exhibitions and events both in Australia and globally;
  • Web and online – design and maintenance of web and social media properties.

Requirements:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • HTML essential – CSS basic, PHP, JavaScript;
  • Knowledge of pre-press techniques and file preparation;
  • Ability to wireframe;
  • Ability to work quickly from concept creation to finished product;
  • Animation (gif);
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure;
  • Expert design skills and proven experience using Adobe Creative Cloud;
  • Awareness of the competitive business environment in which they work;
  • Demonstrates understanding the brand and vision of the business;
  • Photo retouching;
  • Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the quality of the brand;
  • A team player with a positive attitude;
  • Ensuring all creative adheres to style guidelines and articulates brand objectives;
  • Rich Media banners.
