South West Healthcare’s 2027 Graduate Nurse Program offers a supportive 12-month transition into professional practice, with part-time employment (64 hours per fortnight) across Warrnambool and Camperdown campuses. Designed to help you build confidence and capability as a Registered Nurse, the program combines structured clinical support with opportunities to develop your skills across a variety of settings through flexible rotations. Committed to professional growth and excellence in care, SWH provides a nurturing environment for new graduates, with potential ongoing employment upon successful completion. All positions are allocated through the PMCV Nursing Computer Matching process, and applicants must meet PMCV eligibility requirements, with interstate and New Zealand graduates encouraged to apply.

About our 2027 GNP – PMCV “Nursing” Stream.

SWH believe in providing a highly supportive environment for all Graduate Nurses that encourages professional development and excellence in nursing care.  Our aim is to provide clinical structured support during the transition from student to Registered Nurse, whilst encouraging self-directed learning. 

This program commencing in early 2027 offers the opportunity for participants to consolidate and apply theoretical knowledge by developing skills in a variety of settings. Participants have the option to work part time hours at 64 hours per fortnight within a 12-month program with the option for permanent, ongoing employment subject to the successful completion of the program. Rotations are available in Camperdown, Warrnambool or mixed across campus.

All our GNP positions are subject to the state-wide Computer Matching process, conducted by the Post Graduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV). All public health Graduate Nurse & Midwifery Positions are allocated in Victoria through this Computer Matching Service. To be eligible for our GNMP you must meet the PMCV eligibility criteria as per the PMCV Candidate handbook. Graduates of interstate or New Zealand Universities can still apply for places via PMCV.
