Cyber Security Technical Analyst - SIEM / Sentinel - Fed Govt!

We are seeking Cyber Security Technical Analyst to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Cyber Security Technical Analyst will ork within a Cyber Security Operations team to design, implement and optimise SIEM capabilities, supporting threat detection, incident response and compliance with government security frameworks. The successful Cyber Security Technical Analyst will secure an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended for two years and receive a rewarding hourly rate .

The Cyber Security Technical Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to;

• Designing, developing & implementing log solutions for SIEM
• Developing comprehensive technical documentation for SIEM and logging systems
• Identifying capability gaps in alerting, detection and security event logging
• Building and tuning alerting and detection capabilities across SIEM/SOAR toolsets
• Maintaining and improving existing cyber detection and response capabilities

The Cyber Security Technical Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Demonstrated experience with Azure and Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience ingesting logs , developing use cases and tuning logging capabilities
• Strong understanding of cyber security operations, SIEM and detection engineering
• Knowledge of the Information Security Manual, Essential Eight
• Ability to work effectively within a Cyber Security team and take direction
