Senior Structural Engineer

Core Talent is partnering with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in modular switchroom and steel structure solutions across infrastructure and industrial projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support design delivery and improve structural processes across the business.

The Role: As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll be hands-on in the design and review of steel structures, working closely with internal engineering, production, and project teams to deliver efficient, buildable solutions. This role will suit someone who enjoys practical design work and being involved in projects from concept through to fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design steel structures for modular switchrooms
• Prepare structural calculations and design sketches
• Review and check engineering and fabrication drawings
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 1170 and AS 4100
• Liaise with engineering, production, and project teams
• Improve design efficiency and standardisation
• Assist with rigging and lifting design concepts

About You:

• 5–10 years’ experience in structural design (steel preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards
• Experience reviewing drawings and checking design work
• Practical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
