Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet and Workshop Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, workshop operations, compliance, and equipment performance within a highly regulated transport environment.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, workshop efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the safe transport of dangerous goods while leading a team of workshop personnel.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing daily workshop operations and fleet maintenance activities
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Ensuring compliance with dangerous goods, transport, and licensing requirements
- Coordinating repairs, servicing, inspections, and breakdown response
- Managing workshop budgets, inventory, and critical spare parts
- Monitoring fleet performance and identifying improvement opportunities
- Recommending fleet replacements, upgrades, and new equipment
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting workshop staff
- Promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
What you'll need:
- Previous experience managing fleet maintenance and workshop operations
- Experience within transport operations involving hazardous substances
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of maintenance compliance and fleet management systems
- Sound budgeting, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Current Driver's Licence
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
