Software Engineer (.NET / AWS / React)

Your new roleAs a Software Engineer, you'll join an agile squad responsible for enhancing and supporting digital lending platforms used by business customers. Operating across the full stack, you'll help design, build and maintain secure, scalable applications, with a particular focus on backend engineering and cloud-native services.Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building secure .NET services and APIs
• Developing cloud-native solutions on AWS, particularly ECS
• Working with event-driven architectures using Kafka and SQS
• Supporting and enhancing React and/or Next.js applications
• Writing secure, production-quality code and addressing vulnerabilities
• Contributing to platform improvements, reliability and customer experience initiatives
• Collaborating closely with engineers, product stakeholders and delivery teams
• Exploring AI-enabled development tooling to improve engineering efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years' commercial Software Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on development experience with .NET
• Experience building and supporting applications on AWS, particularly ECS
• Exposure to Kafka, SQS and event-driven systems
• Strong API development and integration experience
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
• Frontend development experience with React and/or Next.js
• Ability to work across both backend and frontend components
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn

Nice to have:

• Experience with Playwright or automated testing frameworks
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
• Prior experience within banking, lending or broader financial services environments
