Project Manager

A well-established commercial builder is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a $25m shopping centre project in Melbourne’s south east.
This is a rare opportunity to oversee a high-profile retail development from early delivery through to completion, working with a respected builder known for repeat clients, strong systems, and a collaborative culture.
The project includes construction of a large supermarket, complex services coordination, public interface management, and significant stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for a commercially astute PM with strong retail experience.

The Role
You will take ownership of the project and lead the delivery team across all aspects of construction including:

• End-to-end project delivery from procurement through to handover
• Managing programme, cost, safety, and quality outcomes
• Coordination of subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders
• Driving construction methodology and sequencing across live or complex environments
• Financial management including forecasting, variations, and reporting
• Mentoring site and project staff throughout delivery
• Ensuring strong client communication and stakeholder management throughout the build

About You

• Proven experience delivering commercial projects in the $15m–$40m range
• Shopping centre, retail, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial experience highly regarded
• Strong understanding of services coordination and programme management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
