Senior Accountant - Manager (Remote Contract Role) New

We are conducting a search to find multiple contractors to work on a remote basis for our client. This is an established chartered practice with multiple fofices across Australia. As a business tey provide services in business advisory, taxation, audit and wealth management. They work with a diverse client base ranging from SME's, HNWIs and family groups, through to larger corporate businesses and listed entities.

As a result of continued growth they are looking to onboard several contractors from Senior Accountant to experienced Manager level to provide extra resourcing for their business services and tax teams.

As the firm has various locations across Australia, these roles will be offered on a fully remote basis (with a laptop set-up provided). The ideal candidates will have strong australian tax knowledge and experience working in a public practice firm where you have dealt with group clients in a range of different industries.

This an excellent opportunity for someone who may be returning to the workforce, looking for a shorter-term position between roles, or someone seeking a more balanced role where they can work completely from home.

The contract will be for an initial 6-month term, with the potential for extension or permanency.

Key duties will include:

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts
• Preparing and reviewing BAS, IAS, PAYG, STP and TPAR obligations.
• Providing taxation advice, business insights and practical solutions.
• Review the work of, and provide guidance to, junior accountants and offshore team members
• Dealing with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies and external service providers

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A relevant tertiary level qualification
• CA/CPA qualified or currently studying
• A minimum of 4 years accounting experience - predominantly in public practice/a firm environment
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal and confidence to be client facing
• Familiarity with relevant accounting software including MYOB and Xero (prior experience with APS would be highly advatageous)
