Maintenance & Facilities Handyman

We are seeking a reliable individual who has the ability to think on their feet and work proactively and efficiently.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing experienced and general maintenance services at our manufacturing site in Somerville.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out Preventative and Reactive general maintenance duties
• General Maintenance: Able to conduct basic maintenance jobs such as fixing doors, fitting door locks, replacing lights etc.
• Repairs and minor trade work: Conduct minor repairs to flooring, patch plasterboard.
• Picking up and delivering items to site
• Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment
• Thoroughly and quickly cleaning job sites
• General labouring duties such as moving material around site,
• Assisting the rest of the team when required
• Basic MiG, Tig and stick welding
• Assisting with equipment change-overs.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

• Trade qualified is desirable but not essential
• Handyman experience
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Current Drivers Licence/ Forklift license an advantage 
• Computer skills 
• Good written and verbal communication skills 
• Self-motivated, energetic and promote a positive work environment
• Customer focus
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Flexible and innovative approach to problem-solving
