Are you the type of person who can't stand seeing a messy yard, broken equipment or materials sitting in the wrong place?

Do you like fixing things, organising things and getting stuff done without needing someone standing over you?

BB Building Services is growing, and we're looking for someone exceptional to take ownership of our yard, equipment, vehicles and project logistics .

This isn't a job where you'll stand around waiting to be told what to do. You'll become an important part of keeping multiple construction crews and divisions moving every day.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN :

• Preparing and organising materials for multiple projects
• Loading crews up so they're ready to hit site
• Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
• Delivering materials and equipment to projects
• Keeping our yard exceptionally organised
• Maintaining trailers, tools, machinery and equipment
• Basic mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
• Keeping vehicles and equipment serviced, clean and ready
• Managing stock, storage areas and consumables
• Identifying problems before they become someone else's problem
• Helping our construction crews when required

WHO WE WANT

We're looking for someone who is mechanically minded, highly organised and takes genuine pride in their work.

You'll be someone who:

• Can work independently without needing constant direction
• Sees something that needs doing and gets onto it
• Can manage several priorities at once
• Communicates well with different crews
• Is reliable and turns up ready to work
• Wants responsibility rather than avoiding it
• Is practical and confident around tools, vehicles and equipment

Previous experience in construction, agriculture, machinery, mechanical workshops, transport or similar would be highly regarded.

A truck licence is a big advantage , but isn't essential for the right person.

HOURS

Hours are variable depending on operational requirements, generally commencing at 6:30am. Typically 6:30am-4:30/5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

PAY

Salary/package will be negotiated based on experience and capability, particularly mechanical experience.

Someone with strong mechanical skills who can confidently maintain, diagnose and repair our vehicles, trailers and equipment will be valued accordingly.

If you bring more capability to the role, we're prepared to pay more.
