Join Identitywa as a Housing and Tenancy Officer and help deliver housing initiatives that make a real difference.

Identitywa is seeking an experienced Housing and Tenancy Officer to join our team on a part-time, 9-month contract. In this rewarding role, you will help deliver key initiatives under our Housing Strategy, working closely with participants and key decision-makers on property-related matters while reflecting Identitywa’s vision, mission and values.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing or tenancy experience who is confident navigating property-related processes, building effective relationships, and advocating for participant needs in a values-driven organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and oversee the implementation of project plans for new developments
  • In consultation and engagement with tenants/ participants/ decision makers, ensure Residential Tenancy Agreements (RTA)/ Speciality Disability Accommodation (SDA) agreements, and property inspections are completed, and attend/ contribute to Tenants meetings of SDA and other Identitywa managed homes
  • Review SDA registered provided policy and procedures in collaboration with Quality and Compliance team and ensure all associated processes are aligned and implemented
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Housing Manager

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Significant experience in the community care sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of service design and co-design
  • Experience in project management and ability to project manage with minimal supervision
  • High level administration, organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, critically analyse and develop innovative solutions, with attention to detail and the ability to determine priorities
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and national and state building codes and other legislative requirements (desirable)

What you’ll need

  • Qualification in human services or equivalent
  • Proof of valid Australian work rights
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety & You”)
  • Current WA driver’s licence and reliable motor vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Identitywa strongly recommends COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations for all workers
