Personal Care Assistant (Pca) - Aged Care | Torquay Vic

Job Description

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to elderly individuals in residential aged care facilities
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility
• Support residents' comfort, dignity, and independence
• Monitor and report changes in a resident's health or behaviour to the nurse in charge
• Follow infection control standards and Australian Aged Care regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care
• Communicate respectfully with residents, their families, and the care team
• Use email, smartphones, and basic computer software (Microsoft)

About The Candidate

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent
• Valid NDIS Clearance
• Current Manual Handling Training certification
• Current CPR (1 year) and First Aid (up to 3 years) certifications
• Good understanding of Infection Control Standards in Australian Aged Care
• Familiarity with the new Aged Care Standards, including SIRS, is desirable
• Must have the right to work in Australia
• Must have 1 to 2 years of experience in Australia
