Lead a high-impact Family Wellbeing program supporting children and families

We're partnering with a fantastic organisation to recruit an experienced Manager - Family Wellbeing Service to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, culturally informed, family-led support.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a confident people manager who can balance practice excellence, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and operational performance -while building a strong, values-driven team culture.

The opportunity

As the Manager, you will lead the program's model of care and day-to-day operations, with responsibility for:

  • Referral, intake, triage and waitlist management to meet community need
  • Oversight of high-risk/critical safety matters (client risk, organisational risk, escalation and response)
  • Coaching and supervision to strengthen practice quality and client engagement outcomes
  • Whole-of-service integration , linking families into wrap-around internal and external supports
  • Performance and reporting , including building and maintaining operational dashboards
  • Stakeholder engagement across key systems (e.g., Child Safety, schools, hospitals and partner services)
  • A strong safety culture , ensuring worker safety planning and safe field practice is embedded

What you'll bring

To succeed, you will have strong leadership capability grounded in contemporary child safety / social service practice, including:

  • Demonstrated experience managing larger teams and driving quality, accountability and culture
  • Strong capability applying and critiquing social work / child safety frameworks in practice
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support staff to navigate complex systems
  • Sound judgement in risk decision-making , including working through legislative and practice "grey zones"
  • Confidence using data to drive performance, caseload management, and continuous improvement

Mandatory requirements

Successful applicants will need (or be willing to obtain):

  • National Police Check
  • Queensland Blue Card
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Evidence of work rights in Australia
  • Willingness to travel and work in the community as required
