We’re hiring: Senior Cloud Architects / Cloud Engineers — Azure | Canberra | Federal Government Contract

Capital IT Consulting is seeking multiple experienced Cloud Architects and Engineers to join a Federal Government department’s CIO Group, delivering enterprise cloud capability across a portfolio of ICT projects.

If you’ve spent 5+ years designing and building on Microsoft Azure and M365 — and you want work that genuinely matters — read on.

What you’ll do

Design enterprise-level Azure & M365 platform and solution architectures

Produce architecture guidance for cloud engineers and shape design/build decisions

Work across cross-functional Agile teams — business owners, BAs, developers, enterprise architects and testers

Drive platform automation — testing, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code

Keep solutions aligned to whole-of-government standards and the DTA’s Digital Service Standard

What you’ll bring

5+ years implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies

Depth across Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, Service Bus & API Management

Azure DevOps (repos, IaC, CI/CD), Entra ID, Key Vault, Monitor & Application Insights

Networking, security & identity — Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, RBAC

A collaborative, mentoring style and the agility to pivot as priorities shift

Nice to have: technical leadership track record, application/integration or infrastructure architecture experience, and exposure to AWS and/or GCP.

Canberra-based | Contract (ICT labour hire) | Australian Citizenship required
