Our client is a globally recognised leader in the manufacturing, supply, and maintenance/servicing of compressors, gas engines, and rotating equipment across a range of industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and customer service, they provide specialised field service and workshop solutions to clients throughout Australia. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Field Service Supervisor to join their Brisbane team.
Your new role
As the Field Service Supervisor, you will lead a small team of qualified tradespeople while remaining hands-on in the maintenance, overhaul and commissioning of critical mechanical equipment. This position offers a diverse mix of workshop and field-based work, including regular travel to customer sites across Brisbane and wider Queensland.
Key responsibilities include:

Supervising and coordinating a team of technicians on-site Planning and undertaking maintenance, repairs and overhauls of compressors, gas engines and rotating machinery Diagnosing faults and providing effective technical solutions Installing, commissioning and troubleshooting equipment at customer facilities Accurately recording service activities, maintenance data and reports Working closely with internal sales and service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes Building and maintaining strong customer relationships Promoting safe work practices and compliance with quality and environmental standards Supporting the training and development of team members

What you'll need to succeed
Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Machining, or a related disciplineProven experience working on compressors (reciprocating compressors), gas engines or similar rotating equipment (Oil & Gas experience preferred)Previous supervisory or team leadership experienceOEM training or experience with equipment such as Ariel, Waukesha or similar will be highly regardedStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilitiesExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work autonomously and lead small teams in the fieldSound understanding of safety, quality and environmental systemsWillingness to travel domestically, including occasional remote site workCurrent Australian Drivers Licence and valid work rights in Australia
