Westpac Technology Internship 2026
Why this internship?
Wondering if working in a technology environment would be a good fit for you?
Within Westpac’s Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) we are offering students in
their final year of tertiary study the opportunity to explore this.
If you enjoy collaboration with others and problem solving in a supportive learning
environment, check out our Technology internship program.
This program is designed to help you learn by doing, build confidence, and explore
different technology pathways—without needing to have everything figured out yet.
You’ll be supported by experienced professionals in an environment where asking
questions, trying new ideas, and learning together is encouraged. No prior
professional technology experience is required.
If you’re wondering whether you’d belong here — the answer is yes.
At Westpac, we value diverse perspectives and experiences. We encourage
candidates of all ages, genders, sexual orientation, cultural backgrounds, people
with disability, neurodiverse individuals, and Indigenous Australians to apply. We’re
committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace for everyone.
About the Internship Program
We’re offering 6 technology internships across Westpac’s Enterprise Technology
Services (ETS) teams. These roles are designed to help you explore different
technology career paths and learn how largescale systems are built, supported and
improved.
Depending On The Team You Join, You Might
- Learn how technology application and infrastructure services are supported and improved across the organisation
- See how cloud platforms, networks, databases, middleware, operating systems, and underlying hardware platforms are designed to be secure, resilient and reliable
- Help design technology solutions to solve business problems
- Get hands-on experience with engineering, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools
You don’t need to know exactly which pathway is right for you. This internship is a great way to explore career pathways.
