About the Role
We’re seeking a Change Coordinator responsible for end-to-end coordination of IT change activities, ensuring all changes are planned, risk assessed, approved, scheduled, communicated, and executed in line with ITIL and organisational change management frameworks.
This role acts as the central control point across multiple change streams, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Service Owners, CAB, and Operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and low-disruption delivery of changes.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Change Planning & Governance
- Coordinate standard, normal, emergency, and significant changes through the formal change process
- Ensure all change records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready (scope, risk, impact, rollback, testing, communications)
- Validate change submissions against governance standards and CAB requirements
- Maintain the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) and manage scheduling conflicts
Risk & Impact Management
- Facilitate technical and business impact assessments across dependent systems and services
- Identify and challenge high-risk or incomplete changes and ensure appropriate mitigations are in place
- Ensure rollback, recovery, and contingency plans are clearly defined and actionable
CAB & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare change requests for CAB review, including risk summaries and recommendations
- Coordinate CAB meetings, approvals, actions, and follow-ups
- Act as the key liaison between delivery teams, service owners, and operations
Execution & Assurance
- Coordinate go-live windows and implementation activities
- Track change execution outcomes and conduct post-implementation reviews (PIRs)
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in change quality
Reporting & Compliance
- Produce change metrics including success rates, failed changes, and emergency change trends
- Support audit activities by ensuring full traceability and evidence is maintained
- Ensure compliance with ITIL standards and organisational governance requirements
Requirements and Experience
Technical & Process Skills
- Strong understanding of ITIL Change Management practices
- Experience managing infrastructure, network, cloud, EUC, and application changes
- Ability to interpret technical change details and assess business risk
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow or similar)
Coordination & Communication
- Strong stakeholder coordination across technical and business teams
- Excellent written communication for CAB documentation and reporting
- Ability to challenge constructively while enabling delivery
Risk & Control Mindset
- High attention to detail and strong risk awareness
- Ability to operate in high-volume, high-impact environments
- Strong accountability and follow-through
Organisational Skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent changes and competing priorities
- Strong scheduling and planning capability
- Calm and structured approach in emergency change scenarios
- Contract: 6-Month Contract
