Fitters (General) - NSW (4054996)

Our client, Metele Pty Ltd (Wagga Trucks), is a local family owned business founded in 1997. Just Automotive Recruitment is assisting in the search for skilled Fitters General to join the team in NSW . You are expected to maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
● Workshop repairs and maintenance
● New machine pre delivery preparation and inspection
● Customer satisfaction
● Safety / Quality
● Cross functional support Main Responsibilities:
Fault finding, repairs and services including but not limited to:
● Diesel and petrol engines
● Diesel, petrol and LPG fuel systems
● Steering systems
● Transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift and manual
● Brake systems
● Hydraulic valves and cylinders
● Electrical starting, charging and accessories
● Service and diagnostic repairs
● Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs
● To complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
● To process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
● Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
● Other duties as directed The Person skills & attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and customer focused.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Warm Personality and open minded.
- Self-motivated
- Good technical background experience
- Hard worker, practical personality
- Solid analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
- Good Team spirit, experience working in a small team is an advantage
