Senior Structural Estimator

A reputable and well-established contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Estimator to join their team based in South Melbourne.

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for leading a team of estimators while taking ownership of pricing a diverse range of complex structural projects.

About the Role

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of four estimators
• Price complex and varied structural construction projects
• Build costs from the ground up using first-principles estimating
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure practical and accurate pricing
• Identify project risks, opportunities and construction methodology
• Attend and lead client meetings and presentations
• Take ownership of the estimating function and contribute to tender strategy

About You

• Strong structural estimating experience across complex projects
• Excellent first-principles estimating skills
• Strong knowledge of structural construction methodology and project delivery
• Experience with Expert Estimator and Bluebeam
• Strong programming knowledge
• 3D modelling experience such as Adtect is advantageous
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Previous leadership or team management experience
