Position overview
As a Junior SMSF Consultant in the Client Services team, you will play a key role in supporting clients with the day-to-day management of their SMSFs and providing ongoing assistance throughout their journey. You will be responsible for guiding clients through processes such as rollovers, employer contributions, and trustee changes, while delivering a high standard of service at every stage.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities will include
- Assist clients with the Change of Trustee process from end to end, including:
- Submitting online applications
- Preparing Change of Trustee documentation
- Reviewing and processing returned documents
- Liaising with external parties (e.g. ATO, financial institutions) on behalf of clients
- Respond to client enquiries relating to SMSF rollovers and employer contributions
- Monitor the incoming SuperStream message errors
- Deliver professional and timely client support to maintain a high level of service and client satisfaction
- Respond promptly to client queries via email and phone
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
- Maintain awareness of and adhere to ISO 27001 standards and secure data handling practices
Essential requirements and skills
- Recent graduates should have achieved strong academic results (approximately 70% GPA or above)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties
- High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to identify process or system inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Positive, can-do attitude with a strong focus on completing daily tasks in a timely manner
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is highly regarded
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career within the SMSF and financial services industry
- Commitment to developing within the role and progressing through a structured training pathway
