Human Resources Officer

Overview
Responsible for providing end-to-end HR services across the employee life-cycle, delivering timely, accurate, support and advice to employees and formal leaders.
Duties:

  • Undertake human resource functions to support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and induction, probation, performance development, salary reviews, employee recognition, study assistance, work experience placements, and departures.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and leaders, providing timely, accurate advice and support on human resources policies and processes, as well as legislative industrial requirements.
  • Provide end‑to‑end recruitment and selection, supporting formal leaders with advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, appointment and induction processes, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee documentation and records, including position descriptions, employee data, work instructions, process maps, and corporate documents to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader People & Culture team.
  • Undertake administrative and financial responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to systems, policies and practices to ensure the continuous improvement of the Business Management System.


Requirements:

  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own time to plan, prioritise and organise work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Professional interpersonal skills to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong digital literacy skills to enable use and optimisation of a wide range of software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 tools and HR information systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment legislation and policy.
  • Sound knowledge of human resource management principles and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law.
  • Completion of, or progress towards, a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in end to end recruitment
  • Experience using a range of HR software systems
