Senior Network Engineer

• 6-12 month contract | Perth-based role | Immediate start
• Cisco SD-WAN, Azure & AWS networking across large-scale enterprise environments
• Deliver critical connectivity, security and infrastructure projects

We are partnering with a major global organisation seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance complex enterprise network environments that underpin critical operational sites across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on the design, implementation, optimisation and support of large-scale networking infrastructure spanning traditional enterprise networks, cloud platforms, secure access technologies and remote connectivity solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting and optimising Cisco SD-WAN environments across multiple operational sites.
• Configuring and maintaining Cisco routing and switching infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Designing and supporting Azure and AWS networking solution s, including hybrid connectivity.
• Managing remote connectivity solutions, including satellite-based technologies.
• Supporting secure network access and Zero Trust initiatives using modern security platforms.
• Troubleshooting complex issues across LAN, WAN and cloud environments. 
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, managed service providers and technology vendors to deliver infrastructure projects.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, network diagrams and operational procedures.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring where required

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Senior Network Engineer, Lead Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN technologies.
• Deep understanding of enterprise networking protocols including B GP, OSPF and MPLS.
• Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS networking environments.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across enterprise and cloud networks.
• Experience working within large and complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Regarded

• Experience within mining, resources, energy, utilities or other large-scale operational environments.
• Exposure to Zscaler technologies and Zero Trust security frameworks.
• Experience supporting remote connectivity or satellite networking solutions.
• CCNP, CCIE or equivalent certifications
