About the role
As an Auto Electrician at IOR, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet and heavy equipment operating safely and efficiently. Working across diagnostics, repairs, and installations, you’ll be hands-on in maintaining and improving our electrical systems while supporting a high-performing transport team. This is a practical, fast-paced role where your expertise directly contributes to reliability and performance across our operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across vehicles and heavy equipment using diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on wiring systems, batteries, alternators, starters, and lighting systems.
- Install and integrate new electrical systems including GPS, telematics, and other onboard technology.
- Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance, safety, and optimal operational performance.
- Collaborate with mechanics and internal teams while maintaining accurate service and repair records.
What you’ll bring
You’re a trade-qualified Auto Electrician with strong technical capability and a proactive approach to problem solving. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively, and thrive in a team-focused environment where safety and quality come first.
- Trade qualification in Auto Electrical, with post-apprenticeship experience (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across automotive and heavy equipment electrical systems.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical information and schematics.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality workmanship.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach with clear communication and a willingness to support others.
