Hatchery Expression Of Interest: PERMANANT Tasmanian Residents/Locals

Tasmanian Oyster Co (TOC for short) is committed to being the leader in sustainable oyster production, striving for best practice and continuous improvement in the management of the environment in which we operate.

Our Hatchery Location is in Clifton Beach overlooking the picturesque Pipe Clay Lagoon

Please note: This is not a current vacant position. It is an Expression of Interest application only.

As opportunities arise, our recruitment team will notify suitable local applicants who have Expressed interest, and have completed the Screening Responses.

Our Hatchery attendants complete vital day to day tasks that are vital to support the breeding, spawning, and rearing of oyster larvae.

Specifically, your tasks will involve:

- Follow the directions, procedures, and routines vital for the health and quality of our oysters

-Routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning tanks and equipment.

-Assist to monitoring water quality parameters

- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.

- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

About you:

No prior experience, training or qualifications are necessary, as we are willing to train the right candidate who are motivated and eager to learn.

- Ability to follow directions, procedures, and routine tasks with precision.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

- Excellent work ethic and willingness to work hard.

- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends, as the role may require it. In return, we will also offer flexibility.

- A desire for career progression within the aquaculture industry.

- Looking for permanent Part Time or Full Time work

- Have ability to work additional shifts from time-to-time to assist in meeting production requirements
